Our projects and goals as an overview

The following projects of "enkaina e retoto" mainly resulted trough the initiative of the Massai. As friends of the Massai we want to assist the people in their faith and their culture, in the daily survival fight and stand supporting by their side. The world-famous culture of the Massai is for manifold reasons, an inexpressible treasure and enriching for whole mankind. Through targeted projects, assistance to self-help we would like to support the Massai in the maintenance of their culture, by projects trough which the Massai can gain new financial means with their own strengths. Financial means, which can under "enkaina e retoto" incorporate demand-oriented cultural maintenance. Thus the Massai is not forced to acquire new ways of living e.g. the operation of agriculture. In completely different ranges the Massai is true masters and has some knowledge which has gone forgotten in the western world, like the controlled, environmentally sound of collecting different welfare plants from their region, whose treatment and sales to the western world over "einkaina e retoto", does guarantee Massai women with purely family conditions, a new important source of income. Thereby the Massai women are able in emergency situations to buy food for them and their children. Food, which was cultivated, by other groups of peoples in East Africa. Thus, it is not necessary to abuse the Massai step for agriculture. As a consequence also further surfaces of unaffected nature and whole ecological systems are spared to adjacent national and protection parks, from further "unnatural" interferences.

Project nature welfare clinic:

Thanks to co-operation with private enterprises, as well as financial support of many friends through "enkaina e retoto" a first building “nature welfare clinic” could be realised in Loiborsoit "A" Village in the Simanjiro district in the Manyara region in Tanzania. As alternarive to many hospitals with classical school medicine, we would like to provide the Massai entrance in this nature welfare clinic with products from all the world for a reasonable price. Also the welfare plants collected by the Massai themselves can be available in here. A lot of Massai have a very strong power of resistence and respond expressively well to natural vegetable cures, not only because of their traditional handling with their own welfare plants. Project Phytomedicine in the veterinarian nature:

The Massai also knows some crop cures, which can be used with few, usually not brought in cattle diseases. In co-operation with private enterprises, a few of these welfare plants have to be better investigated, in order to develop crop preparations against cattle diseases. This project is still in the beginning, but in cooperating with projects of other aid organisations, where among other things it is also planned to cross cattle races, one is seeking as much as possible to find extensive solutions, in order to improve the state of health of the livestock, and the base of life of the Massai... .....more details in addition
